I am more than happy to write a letter of recommendation for The Barter Company.  I have been a client of The Barter Company for over ten years, and have every intention of staying with The Barter Company, exclusively.  The service has always been excellent.  I have used barter for many purposes in business and personal, including dining out, going to plays, concerts, musicals, playing golf, and taking trips to name a few.  I have gotten shirts, business cards, brochures, equipment, signs, ink cartridges, and much more for my business. 

 I have used barter to bonus my employees on several occasions.  In the last six months alone, I have saved over $2,300 dollars in cash on repairs to my company's cargo van.  And we have saved several thousand dollars in cash for braces for our daughter.  An additional benefit of barter is that I have gotten several referrals of cash customers from some of my barter customers. 

 The Barter Company has contributed to my families  quality of life by allowing us to do many personal things without spending cash.  In all of my dealings with The Barter Company, their level of professionalism has been excellent.  In fact, this is a big reason I have not gone with other barter exchanges.  While I have been approached by some,  they did not seem as professional as The Barter Company, to the point of promising the world and practically harassing me to join.   I have heard several complaints from companies I know who have tried other barter exchanges, but not about The Barter Company.

We have been a member of The Barter Company for almost 2 years.  We became members because we love the idea of barter.  We were a bit hesitant because the thought was we would lose cash to barter, but in fact The Barter Company opened us up to a whole new network of potential clients that had never heard of Circus Camp or Tumblebus.  Not only have we received new clientele, but also the services and offerings have been fantastic.  We are members of other barter companies and though we sold a lot of our services, there has been a lack of service and offerings in return. My participation in The Barter Company has been a great thing for my business and for me personally.  First of all, it has allowed me to network with other business owners and market my company.  It has proven to be a very inexpensive lead generator.  And with the barter money earned, I have been able to take family vacations to places like Florida and Alaska.  I have also been able to finally finish those pesky drawn-out home projects.  Just this year I had my basement professionally finished, the exterior of my home painted, a new patio poured, my deck and fence stained, and a completely renovated kitchen and master bath installed.  All of those things would not have been possible without The Barter Company.

    My father was in outdoor advertising and radio.  For many years, as I was growing-up in various cities around the country, my family and I enjoyed many perquisites from the "tradeouts": meals, gasoline, travel.  Since that time, I moved to Atlanta, and 30 years ago opened Café Intermezzo. 

The barter idea had been proposed a few times, but I never had any real interest, as I considered it essentially a "luxury".  A few years ago, however, I thought about trying barter for the principal purpose of advertising.  (This was somewhat full-circle to my dad's time!)  Paula Doricchi from The Barter Company called on me at some point, and I found her presentation, and the organization she represented to sound credible and workable for us.

We tried, and it worked.   We've used it for outdoor advertising, magazine, as well as various other miscellaneous items, such as flowers and carpentry.  It's worked well.  I believe it has brought customers to our Cafés, so the generation of business, coupled with the benefits of bartering for services and goods which might otherwise require negative cash-flow, have certainly justified the participation.  It's made very simple and practical by the spirit and efforts of Paula and everyone at The Barter Company!  They're delightful to work with: truly helpful and proactive!

My experience with The Barter Company has been amazing!  It is because of Olympus, barter membership that I am able to send gifts to our clients as well as put on events for National Clients that have become the talk of the industry.  We would not have been able to be the sole sponsors of these events if it were not for our trade. Joining The Barter Company has been one of the best things that I did in the past year. Within the first couple of months of my welcome, I turned in big sale numbers at The Trade Show in November 2008. This enabled me to take on amazing offers in January 2009 of going on the best cruise I think I've ever been on - The Simpleman Cruise, hosted by the famous Lynyrd Skynyrd band along with several other headliners such as 38 Special, Molly Hatchet and Marshall Tucker band, just to name a few (something in my life I'll never forget).

    I had recently attempted to have some concrete work done with no good results until The Barter Company provided me with a wonderful company that repaved my entire driveway. All materials and labor, a turn-key job, that was all completed when I returned from the cruise that I just mentioned. How nice was that?
